Dates: Every Tuesday from 6th January - 24th March (except half term) Time: 10.45am - 12.45pm

Location: The Courtyard Arts Centre, Edgar Street, Hereford

Price: £65 per term plus plays (ordered by the participant)

what to expect

Facilitated by playwright and poet Sara-Jane Arbury, participants read plays out loud together, discussing the content and its relevance today.

Together they will explore work by acclaimed dramatists and will examine structure, characterisation, themes and styles.

The Play That Goes Wrong

When the classic whodunnit plot is given to the accident-prone thespians at The Cornley Drama Society to perform, everything that can go wrong… does!

Written by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields of Mischief Theatre in 2012 and 1st in the recent popular revival of slapstick theatre.

Yerma - Frederico Garcia Lorca

Described by Lorca as a “tragic Poem”, Yerma follows a woman driven to desperation by her wish to bear a child. Originally set in 1930’s rural Spain, Yerma was recently retold as a tale in modern London to great acclaim by the Young Vic.
